VECTA Member Benefits
Membership of VECTA brings together people from many different trades and interests, as well as local interest groups, to form one body to discuss and lobby for things WE want in the town – things that perhaps we see from a different perspective than the powers that be. There is always greater strength in numbers. Businesses can work together for the benefit of all.
For example, during the recent road works in Evesham VECTA was instrumental in ensuring that some businesses received reductions in business rates and that there were some parking concessions for our customers during the period. Also during the road works VECTA worked with the Market Town Partnership to run a discount voucher scheme during the time when trading was most difficult to encourage shoppers to support the local shops.
We are linked to the Rediscover the Vale web site and there are discounts available to members to advertise on that.
We are represented on many organisations; Market Towns Partnership - Evesham Promotion Group - Civic Society - Town Council and District Council etc – and our views are sought and respected. We can and do influence decisions that are taken by these bodies.
