Could you be our new VECTA Secretary?

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key role in running VECTA. We are looking for a new Secretary to join our committee. Our current Secretary, Natasha, has been in the role for nearly 2 years and has just started a new job so would like to hand over the reins.

It's an exciting time to join VECTA and we have some big plans for 2021 which will help us connect with even more local businesses and play a key role in helping Evesham recover from the Coronavirus Pandemic.

What does being VECTA Secretary involve?

  • Organising monthly meetings.
  • Taking meeting minutes and sending them to the committee.
  • Helping plan and organise VECTA social events.
  • Sending out email updates to members.
  • Posting on VECTA's Twitter and Facebook pages.
  • Helping out with #EveshamHour on Twitter.

Our committee meets monthly (currently on Zoom). Once things get back to some sort of normality, we will also resume our monthly VECTA member meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6pm. The role isn't a big time commitment - it takes up about 1 hour a week. You don't need any particular skills either, just enthusiasm! Natasha, our current Secretary, tells us that "being VECTA secretary has been a great opportunity to build relationships with local Evesham businesses and organisations and be at the heart of an organisation that is passionate about making the Vale of Evesham a great place to live and visit."

Get in touch if you are interested - and you can email Natasha if you have any questions about what the role involves.
