VECTA member the Truckle Cheese Company on surviving the pandemic

VECTA member Adrian Nichols of the Truckle Cheese Company would usually be busy attending events and country shows around the UK at this time of the year, selling a range of delicious cheeses and tasty accompaniments. The Covid-19 outbreak put a halt to that in March 2020 and Adrian's business plans for the year were thrown into chaos. With no events allowed and people staying home, he had to adapt to survive and re-invent his business model entirely.

He has shifted entirely to selling online, responding to the surge in demand for buying food products online. The Truckle Cheese Company have also done a big push on marketing and PR, giving them some great exposure and helping them to expand their customer base.

You may have seen Adrian in the local news which featured stories about how Truckle Cheese donated £6500 worth of cheese to frontline NHS and key workers. They are also offering a 20% discount to for frontline health staff. We're really proud of VECTA's very own local food hero!
