VECTA supports Evesham CycleFest

VECTA was proud to support Evesham CycleFest 2019.

Evesham CycleFest celebrated its sixth edition this year with record entries and a new venue at Hampton Ferry. Every participant was awarded a commemorative medal, and for the third year, Cycle Evesham Vale partnered with VECTA who contributed towards the cost of medals.

This contribution provides invaluable support to enable Cycle Evesham Vale to stage the event, and raise funds for projects promoting cycling in the Vale of Evesham. The main project this year is the development of six leisure cycling routes which together showcase the rich heritage of the Vale of Evesham. The Vale Rail Trails all start and finish at Evesham Station, and the project is part funded by GWR.

In addition, Evesham CycleFest will be making a substantial donation to this year’s charity partner Evesham Adventure Playground to support their environmental projects including their very successful bike recycling scheme.

Robin Walker from Cycle Evesham Vale, said "without the support of VECTA and other funding partners, we simply could not stage this event, and we are very grateful for their contribution. We look forward to building an ongoing partnership with VECTA to further support Cycle Tourism in the Vale of Evesham."
